Barry Schilling will lead a session on the new NICE Guidelines on ME/CFS. These guidelines play an important role in highlighting the care and treatment we should receive from the medical profession.
The original NICE guideline for ME/CFS was published in August 2007. It was never fit for purpose. After years of campaigning, and delay upon delay, the new guideline was published on 29 October last year. We know work is ongoing – very much in the background – on a plan to implement the guideline. So what changes can we expect to see and when? Barry will be leading discussion of the current state of play and of what kind of local specialist service we want and expect to be able to access.
As usual this will be at 10.30am for 11am. Everyone welcome. If you are new to Zoom, want to access via telephone or want any assistance in advance to fully participate then do reach out to us. We also want to stress that you do not need to worry if you are in your PJ’s, if you are in bed, if you have no make up one or whatever. We will be glad to see you and will not judge. You can have your video turned on or off it is entirely up to you.

We have not decided yet whether this session will be being recorded as there is the potential to use breakout rooms and have a broader discussion.
