We try to meet once a month face to face and in the summer months we try to do this outside. Unfortunately the weather in July did not lend itself to meeting outdoors and we were not able to arrange a plan B.
Now in August we are going to have an outdoor face to face event on August 15th at 1pm. This is going to be in Alexandria Park in Edgeley again. This time it is slightly different as we have secured a little bit of funding ( £100) for the event from Forever Manchester. We have not 100% decided how this money will be spent but at least some of it will be on cake. If there is anyone new to ME/CFS or Long COVID then let me know and we might be able to put a bit of the money into a good introductory self help book like Lydia Rolley’s Fatigue.
Parking is available in the park car park and there are toilet facilities in the park that should be open and failing that ( if there is maintenance work or something going on) there are toilet facilities in Edgeley Library which is next to the park.
We have a plan B in place in Cheadle Heath should the weather be unsuitable for a face to face outdoor meet ( too much rain or 29+ temperatures).
Everyone is welcome.
We will meet by the picnic tables near the pond and by the car park.
It is good to know if you are thinking of coming so we can make sure we have enough seating and if we end up deciding late on the weather isnt right then as well as updating the website we can let those planning on being there knowing about it.
