We have several events that are still being finalised or that are dependent on funding that we are still in the process of trying to secure. These are the events that are ranged thus far:-
Face to Face events
December 15th 2pm- Coffee and a Chat @ Cheadle Starbucks – all welcome but helpful to know if you are wanting to come so that we can watch out for you, hopefully a space/seat can be held for you and if we secure some grant funding we know how to distribute funds across those attending ( eg. free drink or free cake too)
January 19th 1pm Creative Social in Cheadle Heath – details of art activity still being finalised. Everyone is welcome at these creative social events but we do need to know approximate numbers so we can get the right number of art supplies and because we are limited to 12ish spaces…Hence not putting in the address here although we can give it out to anyone who asks.
February 20th 1pm Creative Social in Cheadle Heath – details of art activity still being finalised. Everyone is welcome at these creative social events but we do need to know approximate numbers so we can get the right number of art supplies and because we are limited to 12ish spaces…Hence not putting in the address here although we can give it out to anyone who asks.
Online Events (with our usual Zoom link/code)
December 8th Friday 11am Creative Social with Twisted Trees – more details to follow
January 12th Friday 11am Benefits with Ann Innes
January 24th Wednesday Zoom Social 8pm
February 9th TBC 11am Co-producing pacing and new to ME resources – We are still finalising this but we are hoping and expecting to be involved in co-producing resources with Greater Manchester Integrated Care and NHS specialist teams for people newly diagnosed with ME/CFS across Greater Manchester. We are also looking at commissioning some videos from a specialist ME/CFS physiotherapist aimed at people new to ME/CFS so this seems a great opportunity to gain some input from patient experts on what they wish they had been told when they were given an ME/CFS diagnosis.
Zoom Adapted Yoga Sessions with Felicity Leigh– back by popular demand we are running two sessions on 8th and 15th January at 2.30pm. These two events are open to everyone although they are targeted at people with ME, Long COVID or fibromyalgia so are more gentle than typical yoga sessions. To participate you need to email Felicity a health questionnaire form so she knows about any relevant health issues. If you have attended these sessions in the past then you just need to let us know that nothing has changed or fill in a fresh form. Forms are available on our Facebook page, are emailed to members and otherwise are available on request. These two sessions are funded by Stockport Town of Culture funding. We are hoping to six more of these sessions in March and April at the same timeslot. We have applied for funding for these and if that funding is secured then these will be open to everyone, otherwise they might be funded by SMEG in which case just open to members and/or people with Long COVID in Stockport ( for whom we receive Stockport Council funding).
